The Open Innovation Day is an annual event targeting leading executives and innovation managers with the purpose to spread knowledge on the latest research and best practices in open innovation.
The Open Innovation Day is managed by the Open Innovation Forum and the 2012 event is hosted by Uppsala University in collaboration with the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA).

Mats is Head of Open Innovation and Vice President Modularization, Food Preservation at AB Electrolux. He is also the former Director of Electrolux’s Consumer Innovation Program.

Mats will talk about the connection of open innovation and modularization. With the increased demand from the market on individualized product production processes need to be completely overhauled, hence the manufacturing industry is transforming from mass production into mass customization.
