The Open Innovation Day is an annual event targeting leading executives and innovation managers with the purpose to spread knowledge on the latest research and best practices in open innovation. The Open Innovation Day is managed by the Open Innovation Forum and the 2012 event is hosted by Uppsala University in collaboration with the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA).

The agenda for the 2012 Open Innovation Day is starting to establish itself. The conference is starting to develop an extremely promising program and the day will without doubt be an incredibly interesting and informative day for open innovation managers.

The Open Innovation Forum team can proudly present Paul Sloane as our keynote speaker for the event. Paul is the author of over twenty book on innovation including the most recent “A Guide to Open Innovation and Crowdsourcing”. He is also Head of Innovation at the British Quality Foundation and a well respected speaker and consultant in innovation.

The second confirmed speaker is Howard Smith. Howard is CTO European Group at CSC, a senior leader in the CSC global Office of Innovation, and he is the CSC global Director of Collective Intelligence.
