The Open Innovation Day is an annual event targeting leading executives and innovation managers with the purpose to spread knowledge on the latest research and best practices in open innovation.
The Open Innovation Day is managed by the Open Innovation Forum and the 2012 event is hosted by Uppsala University in collaboration with the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA).

The current view on innovation is becoming broader in many ways. Pre-commercial procurement, challenge-driven innovation, social entrepreneurship and user-innovators are some examples of this wider context. This is a challenge when it comes to policy and public support. Cecilia’s talk will present VINNOVA’s six targeted initiative areas and future funding opportunities for open innovation.
